Connor Richter

To those of you who are not my mom looking at this site, allow me to introduce myself. I am Connor Richter. I am currently a student at the University of Georgia with a major in journalism and a certificate in both Sports Media and Music Business.

I have been interested in videography, production and media for nearly my entire life. Through a lot of hard work, I have been fortunate enough to gain experience in digital and broadcast media from internship and volunteer opportunities.

Last summer, I worked as a content and production intern for the Cleveland Browns. I edited and shot video for the Browns’ website, scoreboard, social media and television series while gaining in-depth experience filming with multiple cameras along with using the Adobe Creative Cloud for post-production. Through this experience, I have acquired a strong understanding of how to interact with athletes, coaches and other personnel, as they participate in practices, interviews and press-conferences to produce content for a fanbase that extends nationwide.

I have expanded on the lessons I learned with the Browns back to Athens where I currently work as a production assistant for IMG’s Hunkerdown Productions in Athens, Ga. I create digital content for the University of Georgia’s athletic department. I edit videos and graphics for UGA athletics’ social media, television show and website.

As a news intern for Channel 2 Action News in Atlanta, I shadowed and learned storytelling from multiple reporters. There, I conducted interviews, wrote stories, reported, anchored, shot and edited video on deadline.

While my early experiences have been a great education, I understand that I have so much more to learn. There are aspects of videography, production and new media that I have not even scratched the surface of, but I am eager to learn more about my passion and excited for the opportunities that the future will bring.
